About Matheran
Matheran is an eco-sensitive region, declared by the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India. It is one of the few places in the world where vehicles are not allowed, which makes the place different from others. Matheran takes you over a hundred years back in time when there were no vehicles. Because of vehicles being banned in Matheran, the place is quite peaceful despite the thousands of lakhs coming to visit throughout the year.

Tour Plan
Day - 1
Board the train from Hyderabad Deccan at 9:30 PM - Mumbai Express
Day - 2
Reach Kalyan by 12:00 Noon and start to Neral which shall take at most one hour to reach Neral and then start to the hill and reach the summit by afternoon and rest for a while in rooms.
Start trekking to amazing locations and comeback by evening. Members can join in night trekking for a hour which shall be continued after dinner and stargazing while going to sleep.
Day - 3
Wake up early in the morning at break of sunlight and have a breath taking view of the surroundings and pack up and start descending the hill and then back to Karjat and board a train/bus to Hyderabad
Day - 4
Reach Hyderabad and then Sayonara !!! :)

5The best part about Matheran that I like is, it is completely isolated from the city. Located near Mumbai outskirts, it is probably the only hill station that i know, which is without any concrete roads and vehicles, keeping the place absolutely pollution free.

Don’t miss these places during monsoon seasons – it’s an adventure you’ll cherish! The trip is all about trekking, but Abhishek guided us seamlessly. We didn’t encounter any obstacles during the trek, his excellent guidance made it a smooth and enjoyable experience.
