Military Operations Analyst

Position Overview:

DEFTEC is seeking a Military Operations Analyst to provide support to the 1st Space Brigade S3 for task tracking and management, operations orders, briefings, presentations, reports, planning calendars, meeting attendance, exercise participation, organizational inspection program (OIP), and unit status reporting (USR).

Job Responsibilities:

• Write Brigade Weekly AND Short-Suspense Task Orders and upon approval, disseminate them to all Brigade Staff Sections as well as Subordinate
• Maintain a tracking mechanism to ensure all task suspense's are met or that reclamas are recorded.
• Publish brigade operations orders as well as fragmentary orders and maintain an orders tracking mechanism.
• Provide support to operations by compiling various briefs to include but not limited to: input to the Commanding General's Weekly Update Brief, input to the USASMDC Operations and Intelligence Brief, and assist as required with the Brigade Command brief.
• Support development and execution of the 1st Space Brigade Organizational Inspection Program (OIP)
• Support the preparation of 1st Space Brigade USR for current forces and capabilities and inclusion in the USASMDC Command Readiness Review. support identifying, organizing, storing and disseminating information to facilitate brigade operations, standardization and training
• Attend weekly Command & Staff meetings, Operations & Intelligence briefings, brigade training meetings and various other meeting pertaining directly to current operations.
• Attend the USASMDC Deployment Working Group / Exercise Working Group, support exercise development, and coordinate exercise support from subordinate units

Required Qualifications :

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• General understanding of Space support to operations at the brigade level or higher.
• Thorough understanding of Army training management processes and standards.
• Thorough understanding of FSOMETL development
• Thorough understanding of the SMDC Standards and Evaluation
• Expertise with DRRS-
• Expertise using and understanding of Ballistic Missile Defense System assets and architecture and associated Command and Control systems.
• (MDB Support) Be a graduate of one or more of the following courses: Sensor Manager Qualification Course, Sensor Manager Leader Development Course, Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications Planner's Course, Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Tactician, THAAD Technician, or THAAD Follow-On.

• Completion of Space 200 is desired but not required
