Landfill Gas Field Technician Position Description: Job Summary: The Field Technician is responsible for the monitoring and balancing of the landfill gas well field to ensure optimal system performance and compliance. This role involves daily data collection, including flow, temperature, and gas composition readings from individual wells, using specialized equipment such as a gas chromatograph. While performing the duties, the associate is regularly required to walk in adverse conditions and drive an all-terrain vehicle. All duties performed must follow safety guideline and have a safety-first mindset. Collected data will be entered into a well field management program and submitted via daily reports. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, and possess strong communication skills to support coordination with team members and supervisors. This role, in addition to the standard shift, will be on-call. The Field Technician may be assigned additional duties as needed and will report directly to the Well Tech Supervisor.  You must live within 45 minutes of assigned site/area to be considered for this position!   Responsibilities: Adjust well field as instructed to maintain gas quantity and quality. Ensure project compliance with government rules and regulations. Maintain well field database and associated logs in proper order. Take wellhead readings, coordinate and verify corrective actions in order to maintain daily compliance. Assist supervisory staff with operational planning of construction projects and gas collection field expansions. Ensure project compliance with government rules and regulations. Respond to call- outs and work overtime as necessary. Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the plant, office, shop and company vehicles. Ensure that all analytical equipment calibrations and record keeping are current.  Acquire knowledge of all gas collection equipment Perform analytical tests as needed, example: Calibration of data collection instruments  Maintains all assigned operating logs in proper order. Assist supervisory staff with operational planning of outages. Observe applicable safety and environmental regulations while performing assigned tasks. Qualifications/Experience: Basic PC computer skills and familiarity with office software. Basic knowledge of hand/power tools. Applicant should work well independently and is self-motivated. A positive attitude and strong work ethics are required. No additional experience is required. However, RNG/Landfill experience, mechanical experience is a plus. Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record. Must clear Background Check and Drug test. The ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks. The ability to communicate effectively. The ability to be punctual, dependable and willing to work long hours if needed is required. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. The ability to work weekdays and weekends. The ability to work overtime and respond to callouts during off hours.
